In a season when small farms nationwide depend on pumpkin sales to stay afloat, a family run operation is out thousands of dollars after thieves stole hundreds of their gourds. Surveillance footage taken overnight Tuesday at the farm shows what owners told police are thieves taking the pumpkins and fleeing in a van. The family said the van pulled up three times and as many as four thieves were able to take nearly 200 pumpkins. Owners say the pumpkins would have sold for about $2,500.
