Hala Gorani was left gobsmacked by the controversial columnist, as the pair clashed live on air on Thursday.
Hopkins was invited onto CNN to speak about Brexit and why she believed Donald Trump would win the US presidential election – despite trailing in most major polls.
However, the interview quickly disintegrated into a heated row after Hopkins accused the broadcaster of being Hillary Clinton’s personal news network – a favoured attack of Trump supporters.
The columnist said: “I think he’s going to win. I think you guys are in for a big surprise, which I’m quite excited about.
“I think we’ve seen a very similar thing here in the UK with Brexit. We saw a lot of the liberal press kind of sneering at

Cutting Hopkins off, Gorani asked if she had really just called the broadcaster the "Clinton News Network".
