WESTWOOD, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Protests erupted overnight at UCLA, UC Irvine and in Northern California after Donald Trump was projected to be the next president of the United States.
Dozens of students at UCLA left their dormitories and apartments, taking to the hallways and streets chanting "(expletive) Donald Trump," among other things
Protesters also burned Trump effigies, smashed windows of the Oakland Tribune newsroom, and set tires, trash and newspaper stands on fire in Oakland and Berkeley. The disturbance also forced BART officials to shut down the 12th Street Oakland City Center station.
