Protesters with children gathered Saturday morning in front of the Trump International Hotel in Washington DC.
The “Children's Rally for Kindness,†led by the Takoma Parents Action Coalition, called on President-Elect Donald Trump to remember lessons as taught to children as he prepares to take office.
The activists urged him to positively “implement policies that will affect the lives of children and families across our diverse nation.â€
“We will urge the President-Elect to adopt policies that build a better, fairer future, take care of the world that we will leave for our children,†they said. Further, they want him to “respect all people regardless of their culture, religion, race, socio-economic status, gender, or sexual orientation.â€
The rally included singing, chanting, and various arts and crafts meant to encourage Donald Trump not to act “like a bully.â€
