Syria War 2016 - Syrian Army In Heavy Clashes With Retreating Rebels During Final Stage Of The Battle Of Aleppo.
Footage released by pro government sources shows the Syrian army in heavy clashes with retreating Syrian rebel forces during the final stages of the raging battle for Aleppo.
The the Syrian Arab Army made significant advances into the last rebel held areas of the city leading to a nearly total defeat of anti Assad forces whose retreat was also confirmed by pro rebel sources.
Currently it seems that Syrian army forces managed to gain control over about 90% of Aleppo for now.
The Battle was not only fought by the Syrian Army on the pro government side but also a lot of foregin fighters from neighbouring countries such as Iraq, Afghanistan and Iran.
Also Russian media confirment the active involvement of Russian Special Forces into direct combat activities against Rebel forces.
The final offensive on the last rebel held areas of the town was also supported by heavy Russian air strikes.
