Activists demonstrating against right-wing Lega Nord leader Matteo Salvini were pushed and kicked to the ground outside Palermo Cathedral after they protested against his visit to Sicily, Saturday.
Protesters initially began their demonstration inside the cathedral, where Salvini had planned to go as part of his visit to the island. Police however entered the building and surrounded the protesters before ejecting them. Female protesters were seen scuffling with police and being pushed by an unidentified man who went on to kick them to the ground outside.
