Rangers in India have caught a tiger that has killed six people and was on the prowl for its next prey. The three-year-old wild tiger had escaped four months ago from the Pilibhit Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh in northern India and had been hunting around nearby villages for food. The beast was caught on Saturday when it attacked an unsuspecting night watchman and created panic among the locals who initiated a search operation to capture it. But angry locals clashed with officials when the animal was put in a cage to be taken back to Lucknow Zoo. They demanded the tiger to be killed over fears of future attacks.
