An Ohio couple were both charged on Monday after being arrested for overdosing on heroin and endangering their five children.
Police have now released a dashcam video that shows officers responding to the two parents, who were less than a block apart around 5.30pm on February 27 when police say they each overdosed on drugs while caring for their young children.
Nathan Carroll, 29, was discovered by police officers, passed out and blue in the face, in his crashed minivan with an infant in the backseat after the vehicle veered onto a front lawn in Lorain.
Footage shows police responding to the 9-1-1 call alerting them of the crash, and the scene that they came upon. Their baby was not injured.
When police went to the man's residence down the street, they found Carroll's partner, 24-year-old Samantha Schigel, who also overdosed in front of their other children.
