Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) blamed the Republican party on Wednesday for not being able to pass reforms during the Obama administration.
MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle asked Warren about income inequality first, which Warren dodged.
"Why has income inequality failed to get significantly better in the last eight years?" Ruhle asked.
Warren blamed policies that were made for the "billionaires."
"The policies here are for the billionaires, they're for the bankers, they're for the giant corporations. They get the tax breaks, they get the regulatory boosts, they get the great deals in Washington," she said.
"But Senator, you guys were in power for the last eight years, why is it that it didn't work for those good Americans you're working for?" Ruhle asked.
"Let’s be clear about what it means to be in power," Warren responded.
She then blamed the Republican party of blocking their reforms.
