This is the shocking moment an inmate at a UK prison is viciously beaten by another prisoner as soon as he walks into a cell.
The man is seen sheepishly walking into the room at HMP Featherstone in Staffordshire when he is immediately set upon and punched in the face as the brutal attack begins.
A fellow inmate is then filmed repeatedly hitting and kicking him as the victim screams in pain on the floor, with guards nowhere to be seen.
Voices can be heard off camera demanding the victim 'say sorry' but the attack continues for around 40 seconds, despite his desperate pleas for them to stop. The victim initially cowers on a bed, covering his head with his arms, before he is dragged onto the floor with his shirt riding up around his neck.
While he lies prone the attacker begins to kick him in the stomach, leading the victim to crawl part of the way under the bed to try to avoid the beating.
It is unknown how the incident was filmed and uploaded online due to the ban on mobile phones and internet access for most UK prisoners.
The footage is believed to have been shot at the prison last November, with staff in the UK said to be 'demoralised' at the amount of violence taking place behind bars.
Mike Rolfe, chairman of the Prison Officers Association, told the Sunday People: 'It's a bloodbath in prisons at this minute in time. Staff are absolutely on their knees, lost all morale, all motivation.
