A South Korean businessman facing business problems shot himself at a Phuket shooting range last night and later died in a hospital, Thai News Agency said today (March 14).
The deceased, identified as Don Kho-yun, 42, used a .44 revolver to shoot himself at a Phuket shooting range and was rushed to Patong Hospital for treatment but as he was in critical condition later sent to Vachira Phuket Hospital where he died.
Initial inspection showed there were no injuries on his body aside from the bullet wounds under his chin and nose with there being a note written in English that he does not want to return to his home country.
A trainer at this shooting range said Don Kho-yun came to shoot and loaded six bullets into the revolver and after shooting four of them asked to check the target. The trainer told him to put his gun down in order to do so but he instead put it under his chin. The trainer tried to stop him but he fired a shot and fell to the ground.
His friends said the deceased was facing business problems and his parents asked him to return home but he did not want to go back until he was successful aside from loving Phuket and Thailand a lot.
