A surveillance camera on Tuesday captured horrifying footage of a three-wheeled motorcycle dragging a policeman for about 70 meters, before running over his leg.
The accident happened in Yingshang County of east China's Anhui Province. The on-duty policeman, named Wang Yongsheng, noticed the tricycle ran a red light at an intersection, and soon pulled over the vehicle. However, the rider did not bring his ID. When Wang asked the rider for a detailed check at a police station, the driver refused and tried to escape. Wang tried to stop the tricycle, but it was too fast for him.
The tricycle, gaining speed, ultimately threw Wang on the ground and ran over his leg.
Wang was rushed to hospital. He was diagnosed with a secondary injury on one of his meniscuses, a crescent-shaped part of the knee.
