House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) tried to start a "protect our care" chant on Wednesday at a rally supporting Obamacare, but it petered out rather quickly.
Former Vice President Joe Biden spoke before Pelosi tried her chant.
"And by the way, I think he's the best governor in the United States of America," Biden said. "Anyway–"
As Biden left the podium, the crowd started to chant his name on its own. Biden started shaking hands with other people in the crowd.
Pelosi then tried to force a chant from the crowd.
"Protect our care!" she chanted into the microphone.
After the first three "protect out care" chants, the crowd got audibly softer and less engaged.
Pelosi then spoke into the microphone to thank Biden for speaking, ultimately ending the chant.
