On Friday morning, New Day host Chris Cuomo said that he was “not seeing it” in response to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s (D-FL) claim that Democrats were willing to sit down with Republicans to work out a health care bill.
Wasserman Schultz called the GOP bill “outrageous.”
“We need to sit down together. Democrats are absolutely, earnestly willing to sit down and work together to address the problems in the current law,” Wasserman Schultz continued.
Cuomo then criticized her point, “I hear you on that, but I’m not seeing it on the Democratic side.”
After being called out, Wasserman Schultz showed no indication of backing down, calling the GOP plan “unacceptable.”
Earlier this week, Senate Democrats said they will block any health care reform efforts – no matter how bipartisan – if the GOP plan passes, proving Cuomo’s point.
