A woman from Jiaxing City in southeast China's Zhejiang Province had a lucky escape on Saturday. Trapped on her windowsill after a fire in her home, she lost her grip and fell, only to be caught by a quick-thinking fireman.
The dramatic scenes were filmed by passers by, as the woman and her daughter had been trapped in their sixth-story home after it caught fire. The flames soon raged out of control, leaving the woman no alternative but to hang from the windowsill outside and await rescue.
Firefighters soon arrived on the scene, and as the woman lost her grip firefighter Jiang Tiancai was there to catch her by the ankles and pull her to safety. The woman's daughter was also rescued, with nobody suffering serious injury.
