Shocking video footage captures the moment a 15-year-old boy is battered by thugs during a brutal hammer attack.
The teen was chased out of the Bullring in Birmingham city centre by a gang of 15 youths, before two members of the gang subjected him to a vicious attack which left him with a fractured skull.
The assault was caught on CCTV and a clip shows one of the thugs smashing his victim around the face with the hammer and then punching and kicking him on the ground while his friend joins in.
The youth is then seen casually stuffing his weapon down his trousers before he and his accomplice flee the scene.
The victim, who hasn’t been named, was taken to hospital where he was treated for his injuries. He is expected to make a full recovery.
West Midlands Police are now hunting the men responsible for the horrific attack at around 6pm on February 6.
