A motorist has been filmed lunged towards a speeding car and verbally attacking another driver in a shocking case of road rage.
Video uploaded to YouTube shows both vehicles travelling along Warringah Road in Forestville, north Sydney.
Mobile footage shows a man driving a white Fiat attempt to hit another motorist's side mirror while moving at 70km/h before yelling, 'I will f*** you up'
Both cars then stopped on the side of the road.
The motorist wearing a white t-shirt then approached the other vehicle and grabbed the phone being used to film him.
'Mate you're in the wrong, you nearly hit me... you take a photo of me mate I will f*** you up,' the man said.
'Yeah you've got nothing mate I've got you on camera you f***wit,' the man filming said in response.
The man could then be seen getting back into his car to get his phone which he pointed at the other driver.
The footage does not show what triggered the violent outburst and it is unclear which driver was at fault.
In the video uploaded to YouTube, the man claimed the angry motorist assaulted him and damaged his car.
'Driving down Warringah Road in Forestville, this guy was punching my car whilst we were driving 70km/h, pushing my side view mirror askew,' the video description reads.
'He then pulls in front of me and slams his brakes on, my ABS barely keeps me from hitting him. He then gets out, threatens to f*** me up for filming him and tries to grab my phone, hitting me in the face at the same time.
'As he goes back to his car he stomps on my bonnet, which is hard to see as the camera is over exposed.'
The incident has not been reported to police.
