Riot police officers deployed tear gas against demonstrators as clashed erupted at a left-wing protest in Paris, Sunday. Hundreds of people took street of Paris with banners and flags to protest the French presidential candidate for the far-right National Front, Marine Le Pen.
The protest takes place a few days after an arson attack against the National Front’s (FN) campaign offices in Paris in the early hours of Thursday.
The National Front candidate for the 2017 French presidential elections is set to hold a campaign rally at Paris’ Zenith Metropole on Monday, April 17, with further protests planned for that day.
