One of the longest ever mass brawls has taken place in Brazil in yet another example of on-pitch violence in South America.
The latest violent scenes took place just three days after footage emerged of fighting between Penarol and Palmeiras which saw Felipe Melo along with four other players handed three-match provisional suspensions.
This time Bahia had just beaten Vitoria in the Northeast Cup semi-finals when chaos erupted on the pitch, as both sets of players started fighting each other.
The brawl continued as the players were being ushered towards the changing rooms of the Arena Fonte Nova, in the eastern Brazilian state of Bahia.
The footage appears to show players from both teams kicking and throwing punches around the tunnel area and the reason for the conflict is unclear.
There were peace-makers trying calm the situation down on both sides but a lack of security in the stadium delayed efforts to diffuse the situation.
Once the brawling eventually subsided, Bahia celebrated their achievement of reaching the cup final at Victoria's expense.
With Brazil football authorities still to announce full punishments for Penarol and Palmeiras, it is expected all four clubs will face severe sanctions for their actions.
