This is the horrifying moment a gang of youths kick a cyclist in the head, before fleeing the scene with his £1,500 bike and mobile phone.
Sickening footage shows the man being beaten up by the group of six - all in black hoodies and wearing balaclavas - in Ion Square Gardens in Bethnal Green, London.
The victim attempted to fight them off, but was punched and kicked in the face by the attackers.
He shouted 'help, help, I'm being robbed' while he was being beaten up.
A woman passing by could be seen shouting at them and chasing them off, as the victim lay on the ground.
The muggers escaped and made off with his phone and bike. They left his phone smashed up a few yards away from the attack.
The man was left badly bruised and shaken from the incident, but did not require hospital treatment.
Police were called to the scene near Hackney Road at 7.45pm on Friday.
The footage was filmed by a passer-by named only as Zed, as he walked through the park with his girlfriend.
The digital designer told the Evening Standard: 'We heard the victim shouting "help, help, I'm being robbed!" Then my girlfriend quickly called police and I decided to film for police evidence.
'The youths were assaulting him because he didn't want to give up his bike, I believe it was worth about £1,500, until finally he couldn't hold on anymore and they escaped with it.'
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: 'Officers attended and spoke with the victim who had been robbed of his bike by a group of up to six males.
'The victim was assaulted during the course of the robbery. He did not require hospital treatment. No arrests have been made. Inquiries are ongoing.'
