Dangling off a rope 13,441 feet up high might not sound like a pleasant experience but for daredevil climber Tormod Granheim, this is when he says he feels most happy.
Nail-biting video footage captures the extreme Norwegian explorer in his 'happy place', abseiling down an icy vertical ridge on the Mont Blanc massif in the Alps.
The terrifying clip shows the 42-year-old scaling a slab of rock, with his crampons tenuously grazing the stone as he goes.
The outcrop Granheim abseiled down is known as the Arête du Diable, which translates to the 'Devil's Horns'. They are located in the French part of the Mont Blanc massif mountain range. The rest of the range is in Italy.
He is seen in the film clip navigating one of the horns - which measures 82 feet - in the summer of 2014.
