A Sydney driver has captured a road rage incident on his dashcam footage, showing a man stop his car in the middle of the road and confront him in the car behind.
The footage, which was captured on Friday night, shows the driver of a Mitsubishi cut the car off, before slamming on the brakes in the middle of a busy road.
The dashcam owner called Fred said they handed the tape to the police on Sunday morning.
'Hi guys, I had a very eventful evening tonight with some wild road (rage). The cops also have the video and are keen to issue some tickets to this guy,' he wrote on Facebook.
The driver of the Mitsubishi was filmed stopping in his car and getting out, storming to the car behind to confront the driver.
After the short confrontation between the two, the man storms back to his car in an apparent huff, gets in and drives away.
The footage prompted divided opinions online, with people appearing to point the finger at both parties.
'Guy was being a w****r trying to push past, but you were just being a d******d too for pushing back up the side of him with your hand on the horn,' one man said.
Another commenter agreed, saying: 'Haha yes! The people with dashcams seems to provoke other drivers just to put it on this page. I often notice people on the road doing the wrong thing are people with dashcams.'
One person supported the dashcam driver by saying: 'Cam car driver did nothing wrong. The guy flying up the left is in the wrong. Just because you have your indicator on doesn't mean you can just merge regardless of who is there.'
But one claimed the driver cut someone else off after speaking with the driver in front of him, commenting: 'LOL. And then after the road rager gets moving again, you still cut the next car off that tried to merge , who was in front of you. Hehe. You drive like a d**k. Have some common courtesy.'
