Footage from a 2014 battle in Idlib province, Syria gives the viewer a taste of what it’s like to be in the terrible situation of being targeted by incoming enemy fire. Rebels observing an SAA position are discovered, and within minutes, SPG-9 recoilless gun and main battle tank rounds are hammering their position. The sounds of the 73mm fin-stabilized, rocket-assisted projectiles shrieking overhead are more than enough to make the rebels panic and vacate their compromised location. Never mind the ground-shaking high explosive tank rounds correcting their way in as well.
