A 29-year-old man was killed in a horrifying hit-and-run accident that was caught on camera last month.
The Los Angeles Police Department said on Friday that they are searching for the woman who struck and killed a pedestrian while he was crossing the street in South Los Angeles on April 28.
Mario Enrique Cortez-Cua was crossed the street around 11:30pm when he was hit by a four-door blue Volkswagen Jetta with paper plates, KTLA reported.
Graphic surveillance video from the scene shows the car zooming down the street before hitting Cortez-Cua head on.
The driver, who is described as a black female, stopped her car and got out to attempt to help Cortez-Cua, police said.
According to police, she walked over to him and said 'oh my God, oh my God,' before getting back into her car and speeding away.
Cortez-Cua was pronounced dead at the scene when paramedics arrived shortly after.
The LAPD is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for any information leading to the driver's identification, apprehension and conviction or resolution through civil compromise.
