A cyclist has been captured spitting at a driver in Adelaide, after he was almost hit by the car as it pulled into a driveway.
The dashcam footage was posted to Instagram by a fellow driver on Thursday morning.
Footage shows a dark grey Range Rover turning in front of oncoming traffic on Belair Road to pull into a car dealership on the opposite side of the road.
The driver doesn't see the cyclist coming from the opposite direction as they pull into the driveway.
The driver sees the cyclist at the last second and stops suddenly as the cyclist swerves out of the way, narrowly avoiding contact.
The driver of the car is seen putting a hand up in a motion of apology to the cyclist, before partially pulling into the driveway and stopping.
There is a marked bicycle lane on the side of the left hand side of road where the cyclist was at the time of the incident.
The cyclist is then seen riding back to the driver's window, appearing to strike the glass with his hand and then spit at the driver before cycling off.
The caption on the footage read: 'A bit of ugliness on Adelaide roads this morning. More care needs to be taken from motorists to cyclists but cyclists does that exclude violence and spitting?'
'I'm sure a big wake up call to the driver who hopefully pays more attention.'
One person commented: 'That was close!' while another said: 'Yucky on both parts, hope the driver was wearing a bib.'
