In this classic footage, Maxine Waters is caught lying twice. First, she shills for Hillary Clinton by protecting one of her aids from being questioned further. She randomly interrupts the line of questioning to tell republican Peter King to "shut up." After a failed attempt at masking her obvious distraction tactic as a fight against intimidation and marginalizing the voice of women, she ironically marginalizes the voice of a woman above her by disrespecting and ignoring her authority with a record-breaking outburst.
Ironically, this conduct by Maxine Waters was so unacceptable that it was actually grounds for a form of scolding that was so rarely necessary, many actually didn't even know what it was.
