Frank Sinatra famously referred to New York as the city that never sleeps, and a stunning new video shows exactly what he was singing about.
Incredible timelapse footage captures 10 days in the life of the city, combining aerial shots over the streets to ground-level footage of commuters making their way to and from work.
Made by filmmakers FilmSpektakel, the three-minute video includes iconic locations such as Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, the Grand Central Terminal and Liberty Island.
It is the first timelapse video the Austrian company has made on foreign soil.
An explanation from FilmSpektakel said: 'It took us 10 days, a lot of burgers and one helicopter ride to produce this video.
'Ten days is very little time to discover this city of endless opportunities, so we hardly slept anything and shot day and night for this time lapse film.
'The city that never sleeps indeed!'
During the making of the video, producers shot a huge 65,000 photos, and the taxi scene alone took five days in postproduction.
The video has been viewed nearly 50,000 times on YouTube, and is the third timelapse film make by the organization.
