Former New Hampshire Gov. OBLITERATES CNN's coverage Of the Russian Collusion Investigation

John Sununu, former New Hampshire governor and a chief of staff to the first President Bush, ripped apart CNN’s coverage of the Trump-Russia investigation on Tuesday.



Camerota started out by asking Sununu about connections between President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and a Russian bank.



“I don’t think there’s anything there,” Sununu said. “During the ten weeks [of presidential transition] everybody is trying to meet somebody who’s going to be in the administration. Everybody who’s involved in business. Everybody who’s involved in politics.”



Camerota asked Sununu if he would have met with a Russian banker during the transition, if the meeting was offered.



“You’re asking hypotheticals on hypotheticals,” Sununu said.



Sununu then went in on the media’s coverage of the investigation. “The only discomfort I have is with folks in the media trying to create a venality without having the coverage to specifically tell me what the venality I should be concerned about is,” he said.



“You should be concerned if there was collusion,” Camerota responded.



“I don’t have evidence of collusion. Do you?” Sununu shot back.



“No,” the CNN anchor admitted.



“That should end your reporting right there. You should put an exclamation point after your ‘no,'” Sununu said.



Camerota then argued that the investigation into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia is just beginning.



An incensed Sununu yelled, “You’re seven months into the investigation!”



Sununu then asked Camerota “how much crow” she would eat when her version turns out to be wrong. Camerota denied she has “a version” of the investigation.



“Of course you do!” the governor said.



Camerota eventually gave up in arguing with the governor, thanking him for his perspective and moving on.
