The last day of school at Tahquitz High in California turned ugly as an unlikely group of people got into a massive brawl: parents picking up their children.
Several parents were filmed outside of the high school on Tital Trail in Hemet on Wednesday punching, kicking and screaming at each other.
While it's unclear what sparked the violent fight, other parents and children were horrified by the display.
'Think about it before you do it in front of your kids,' mother Amber Pifundi told CBS 2.
'It's one thing behind closed doors. It's another thing when there are no kids around but when you are there with kids, it's just not an example you want to set.'
The station also learned that some of the parents in the fight live in the same apartment complex. The dispute quickly spread from social media and onto the school campus.
'They say this, they say that. This one gets on Twitter, and calls the other girl a…it's a bunch of girls fighting over [expletive] boys,' said a neighbor.
Other parents said the public display gives the school and surrounding area a bad reputation.
'I moved here without knowing about the city and we've only been here a year and we're already leaving,' one resident said.
A district spokesperson said school officials were 'saddened' that the fight carried over into the school area.
The Hemet Police Department said no arrests have been made.
