A Florida man has been arrested after he was caught on camera attacking a driver with a baseball bat in the middle of a busy road.
Hector Herrera, 24, was filmed striking 50-year-old Jairo Linarte repeatedly with a black baseball bat in a road rage attack in Hialeah in Miami on Friday evening.
A police officer was conducting a traffic stop nearby when he spotted the two men fighting on the road.
When the officer approached the men to break up the fight, he found Herrera with the bat and the victim trying to avoid being bashed with it.
The victim told police Herrera was angry because he didn't allow him to change lanes in the busy traffic.
Herrera then allegedly stopped his car in front of the victim's vehicle and got out armed with the baseball bat.
When he smashed the victim's right side window, the victim told police he tried to drive off but crashed into Herrara's car.
Footage of the fight shows the victim jumping out of his vehicle before Herrera charges at him with the bat.
Police said the victim was struck on the right shoulder with the bat before the pair started trading blows.
They were filmed punching each other on the road, causing other drivers to try and desperately move out of their way.
Police said the two men only stopped when the officer broke them up.
Herrera was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He was booked into jail but later released on bond.
