Black woman seen riding hood of car on Houston highway

A woman has been caught on camera desperately hanging onto the hood of her moving car after an ex-lover allegedly tried to steal her vehicle.
Chantel Thompson said the dramatic footage was shot in Houston on Sunday after she had a fiery argument with her former boyfriend, who is also the father of her child.
The single mother told KTRK at the end of the argument, her ex jumped into the driver's seat of her white Chevy Impala and tried to make off with it.
Determined not to let that happen, she jumped onto the hood of the car - holding on for her life with one hand while calling police from her cellphone with the other.
'I was scared a little bit because I'm like if he throws on the brakes, I'm going to fly off this car,' she told the network.
'I'm not going to go out without no fight because I work too hard for my things. I'm a single mother and I do this by myself.'
She continued to reiterate her allegation against her unnamed former partner: 'At the end of the day, whether he's my kid's father or not, he stole from me.
'He stole my car.'
The entire ordeal last just a few minutes, but Thompson was on the hood of the car for more than a mile.
When Houston police arrived on the scene, after being called by Thompson, the officer determined the incident was a 'domestic dispute', according to KTRK.
The officer then let them both go, and charges are not expected to be filed.
