Helmet cam footage out of Afghanistan shows an ODA Special Forces soldier being treated for his wounds, mid firefight, after being shot three times.
According to the report, the elite soldier was hit with .30 caliber rounds, twice in the leg and once in the back. The beast troop manages to abruptly hobble away from the front line fight on his own and back to his medic, who immediately takes control of the situation by establishing security, assessing the damage, and treating the casualty.
The medic was able to expertly stabilize his wounded brother until he could be medically evacuated, which wasn’t for another two hours, because of the intensity of the fighting and continuous enemy presence.
The wounded soldier was given multiple blood transfusions and underwent two surgeries, but was soon back in Afghanistan only to be shot in the hand.
