A law student was arrested on Friday accused of pushing his ex-girlfriend, who is four months pregnant, in front of a bus moving in Botafogo, in the southern zone of Rio. Wednesday night. Lucas Florençano de Castro Monteiro, 25, was arrested at his home in Botafogo and offered no resistance to the arrest.
Lucas would have tried to kill the ex-girlfriend because she was on a planned exchange trip to Canada next monthThey were boyfriends two years ago, and they ended when she found out she was pregnant. He had exchanged appointments for Canada and thought that the pregnancy would disrupt his future. He insisted that she abort, but when she saw that she was not going to do it, she made an appointment saying she had to talk to her and committed the crime.
