Ten people have been hurt in severe turbulence on an American Airlines flight.
Screaming passengers were catapulted into the air as the Philadelphia-bound flight suddenly plummeted towards the ground.
Three passengers were hurt in the terrifying incident yesterday, as well as seven crew members - one of which dislocated his arm.
Horrified passengers said people hit the ceiling after it "suddenly felt like the whole plane was in freefall."
Another person on the flight from Athens, Greece, said the plane was "soaked" after the 15-second long turbulence struck as cabin crew were handing out drinks.
Footage of the aftermath shows food and drink strewn around the cabin and the ceiling - and cups and wrappers across the floor.
