Anti-fascist protesters and Trump supporters clashed in violent altercations during dueling protests in Portland over the weekend, leading to three arrests.
Members of the anti-fascist 'Antifa' movement and conservative group Patriot Prayer threw punches at one another as pepper spray filled the air during protests at Salmon Street Springs in Tom McCall Waterfront Park on Sunday afternoon.
Both protests began around 2pm, with Patriot Prayer promoting 'freedom and tolerance for people who think differently' while Antifa members chanted 'No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA', characterizing the other protesters as white supremacists.
The Patriot Prayer group was made up of about 150 Donald Trump supporters waving flags and wearing Make America Great Again Hats.
Meanwhile, many of the antifa members wore black bandannas to cover their faces and at one point gathered in a small group to burn an American flag.
In footage from the incident, dozens of protesters can be seen shoving one another and throwing punches.
In the background, trumpets and drums can be heard playing notes and beats at random.
No serious injuries were reported following the clashes, but three people were arrested.
