Ben McNeil and his son, Jacob, captured video footage of the driver of a red pick-up truck while they were travelling in Texas, US, during the early morning incident.
In the clip, the woman appears to brandish a weapon at the pair's car on Highway 225, near Houston. It is alleged that she used the method in a bid to get through traffic.
The dad and son described the incident as "terrifying".
"We were having a pretty chilled morning. There was no provocation. She pointed a gun at us from four feet and then tried to run us into the side route, Mr McNeil told KHOU.com.
