A brutal dog owner was caught kicking his Jack Russell in the street in front of horrified passers-by.
In a shocking video, a man is seen kicking his small brown-and-white dog in Toxteth, Liverpool, sending him flying into the air.
The terrified animal appears to try to run away but is pulled back by his lead.
The incident is believed to have happened around 4.20pm on Wednesday, near the Tesco in Toxteth.
An RSPCA spokesman said: 'The RSPCA was made aware yesterday evening of footage circulating on social media which showed a man kicking a dog in a street in Liverpool.
'We are assisting Merseyside police in their investigations. We urge anyone who has any information to contact the police on 101, or the RSPCA’s appeals line on 0300 123 8018.'
