A runaway HGV ploughed backwards into a shop as customers ran for their lives while stock crashed down around them.
The 12-wheeled truck was captured in dramatic CCTV as it rolled backwards towards a parked car.
But even the stationary vehicle was not enough to stop the out-of-control truck, which rammed it through a shop window.
Just moments before a man was walking along the pavement outside the shop, but dived out the way as the truck approached.
A second CCTV camera captured the chaos inside the popular shop, which shows panicking customers rushing to get out of the way.
Two workers behind the counter and numerous customers run for cover.
One customer was injured but his condition was not thought to be life threatening.
Police arrived at the scene in Brazil and arrested the driver of the lorry.
He was taken into custody after the event just after 7.30am on Tuesday.
