A MAN calmly poured petrol over himself and set himself on fire in a Russian supermarket after he was reportedly rejected by his crush.
The customer, 30, who has not been named, burned himself alive in Sosnovoborsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, on Monday evening.
He suffered horrific burns of up to 70 per cent and was taken to the Sosnovy Bor hospital.
According to local reports, the man came from Uzbekistan.
In a clip taken from the shop’s CCTV camera, the young man is seen pouring what appears to be a flammable liquid on himself before setting himself on fire.
The man, who is believed to come from Uzbekistan, later died of his injuries
He set himself on fire in front of another customer
He can be seen deliberately dousing himself as another customer is standing just feet away.
When he finishes the bottle of petrol he can be seen carefully putting it back into the plastic bag and reaching for lighter.
Seconds later, his clothes go up in flames.
