Louisiana flood victims and volunteers rejoiced in a rare display of joy amidst their flood-ravaged homes as GOP nominee Donald Trump greeted them during his visit to the state.
Trump was immediately greeted with praise from residents, with one woman screaming “We knew you’d be here Mr. Trump! We knew you’d be here for us!”
While visiting the Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, where volunteers have set up a distribution center for flood victims, Trump was greeted with a crowd of fans cheering as they described their hardships over the last week.
“We lost everything and we knew you would come,” one woman said to Trump. “This makes it all worthwhile.”
