This is the shocking moment a hit-and-run driver smashed into a man on a zebra crossing before shamelessly reversing away leaving the victim's body on the road.
The incident was captured on CCTV and begins as the 22-year-old man, who was using a pedal scooter, stopped to cross the road.
After he hopped off his scooter the head-phone clad man started to cross the road in the seaside town of Clacton, Essex.
But almost instantly he was struck by a light green Ford Focus - throwing him onto its bonnet before he fell back down and crashed on to the road.
