The hosts of ‘The View’ discussed climate change’s effect on the intensity of hurricanes, and panelist Sunny Holstin cited what she called the film “The Inconsequential Truth.”
After co-host Joy Behar suggested that weather services begin naming hurricanes after climate change deniers, Holstin said that the time to discuss climate change has come.
“I saw Al Gore’s newest movie,” Holstin said. “I think it’s ‘The Inconsequential Truth.”
One of her co-hosts muttered in agreement, “Yeah.”
Gore’s new film is entitled, “An Inconvenient Sequel,” which follows his 2006 film, “An Inconvenient Truth.”
“It makes the case that there is a tie between what we’ve been doing to our environment and these superstorms,” Holstin claimed, apparently unable to remember the title of the film, but ready with the movie’s talking points.
“I hope people go out and look at it because it’s been his life’s work, and I believe him,” she concluded.
Holstin later corrected herself.
