A Florida family had a narrow escape when a sinkhole opened up underneath their house, swallowing up their furniture and possessions.
Ellen Miller and her husband watched as their home sank into the ground in Apopka, Orange County, after deep cracks opened up in the bathroom.
She told WFTV that the bathtub started sinking and the window was coming loose.
She said: "I said, 'It's time to go'.
"We made it through the hurricane. We were really, really lucky, and then this.
"This is the only home I know. It's the only home my kids know."
She explained they would be staying with their daughter next door until they can work out what to do next.
