An amateur thief has given CCTV cameras an eyeful while making a bumbling getaway.
The crook flashed his 'Friday' underwear - worn on the wrong day - as he desperately tried to break down the doors of a petrol station after getting trapped inside.
Footage released by police shows the man walking into a store in Melbourne, Australia on Wednesday evening armed with a pair of scissors.
He jumped the counter, stealing cigarettes and cash. But as he tried to flee, he had trouble getting the automatic doors to open.
According to the Huffington Post police said in a statement: "The offender was delayed for several minutes as he tried to master the green door button.
"Despite the offence occurring on a Wednesday, he was wearing underpants clearly marked 'Friday'."
