Careless driver rams pushchairs crushing one child and throwing another into air as mums push buggies across road

A driver left two babies with head injuries and a mother knocked down after ramming into them as they crossed the road.

The shocking footage shows two women pushing buggies across a quiet road, when a car approaches at slow speed.

Despite having plenty of time to stop the driver of a silver Honda blunders straight into them, crushing one of the pushchairs and throwing a child from the other.

One of the mums is also run over in the bizarre incident.

The unnamed driver, 33, had just pulled out of a shopping centre and reportedly had 15 years of experience on the road.

He had previously only ever had two tickets, for speeding and not following road signs, though both in the past year.

The unnamed children, both around 18 months old, were taken to a nearby hospital.

One was diagnosed with concussion and the other with a mild brain contusion.

Both are still receiving treatment.

At the time of the accident the driver was sober and police in Russia are investigating.
