The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department has received a tweet response from President Donald Trump.
On Thursday, IMPD's Twitter account sent tweet thanking @POTUS for "delaying wheels up" to speak with Officer Robert Turner, who had been injured escorting Trump's motorcade back to the Indianapolis International Airport.
In response, the @realDonaldTrump account replied Friday evening with a photo of Trump surrounded by officers at the airport with the message, "THANK YOU to the amazing Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department and all law enforcement officers, for all you do 24/7/365! #LESM."
The hashtag #LESM typically refers to "law enforcement social media."
Turner was released from the hospital Wednesday night and is recuperating, according to a tweet from IMPD.
