18-month-old infant Salah Salame suffered moderate wounds late Thursday night when he was shot during an attempt hit on his family member (who was holding him) in Qalanswa, an Arab town in central Israel, in another criminal dispute in the Arab public. Video footage of the incident showed the shooter disembarking a vehicle and then chasing and shooting at the man, as he was attempting to flee, holding the infant. The infant suffered a leg wound and was taken for treatment at the Meir Hospital in central Israel. Police are investigating the incident. "A masked man came up to me. I asked him not to shoot, but he did and hit the child. I fled the scene. If I hadn't, it would have ended in disaster," the relative holding the infant at the time of the shooting said. Several such shooting incidents took place in this Arab town over the past few days. In one, two men suffered minor and moderate wounds, while in another two businesses were shot at.
