Dashcam footage captures moment driver's road rage attempt backfires spectacularly

A driver learned a valuable lesson when he tried to pick an argument with a fellow motorist.

Dashcam footage captured the moment the road rage incident is cut short when the furious driver manages to hit HIMSELF with his own car.

The driver of the white Honda is seen slamming on his brakes, causing the vehicle behind to beep his horn.

The motorist in front then opens his door and gets out - but forgets to put his car in park.The couple in the car behind gasp as the vehicle in front starts to roll backwards as the man walks towards them.

Video shows the Honda hit the couple's vehicle as the driver's door knocks him to the ground, his feet flailing into the air.

Incredibly, the man gets to his feet and continues to argue with the couple in the car behind him.

The red-faced man yells "you caused that" while the driver of the car behind tells the man to park his car properly.

The footage was shared on the Facebook page Dash Cam Owners Australia where it was claimed the driver would not go around the car because there were double white lines on a blind corner which would have been illegal to cross.

The clip has been viewed more than 650,000 times since Sunday evening.

One viewer wrote: "That's the funniest dash cam video I've ever seen."

Another added: "This is why dash cams are awesome because it would be more believable to say you hit him because who would think someone could be that stupid!"
