This is the terrifying moment an impatient motorist drove into the back of a horse - leaving it with serious injuries and sending its rider flying.
The CCTV video clip shows the silver car try to overtake the horse and a parked vehicle at the same time, hitting the back of the animal before speeding off.
Its rider was flung to the ground and the horse was seen bolting after the impact, which happened yesterday in Castleton, Greater Manchester.
The horse is understood to have required urgent surgery as a result.
Jill Young, a friend of the rider - named Louise- posted the video on Facebook, writing: "So this happened to a friend of mine yesterday and her horse is now undergoing major surgery.
