This is the hilarious moment three Indian temple worshippers mistook a novelty kangaroo -shaped dustbin for a Hindu God.
The religious women wearing saris were spotted at a temple complex thought to be in the north-eastern Indian state of Bihar, though the video's author did not say exactly where.
The video clip, filmed on a mobile phone, shows the women clustered around the kangaroo-styled dustbin, with the marsupial's pouch open and ready to receive rubbish.
However, instead of tossing in litter, one of the women anoints the head of the waste receptacle.
Witnesses claimed they also sprinkled the kangaroo with holy water - and one of the women is seen dropping in a coin as a religious offering before wandering off.
Some Indian viewers of the clip were exasperated by their countryfolk worshipping so many deities that even a litter bin got included.
